In an industry where trends shift rapidly and technologies evolve constantly, some modalities remain clinically relevant because they solve a problem permanently.
Electrolysis is one of them.
As the only method of permanent hair removal suitable for all hair colours and skin types, electrolysis remains one of the most valuable and in-demand specialties within aesthetic practice. It delivers precision, inclusivity and long-term results, making it highly valued by clients and a strong revenue stream for clinics. When mastered, electrolysis elevates a practitioner’s skillset and positions them as an essential member of any clinical team.
A Precision Technique That Requires Supervised Practice
Electrolysis is not a quick add-on treatment. It is a highly technical modality requiring detailed hair and follicle analysis, a clear understanding of electrolysis modalities (thermolysis, blend and galvanic), correct probe selection, accurate and consistent follicle insertion, precise current adjustments, ergonomic positioning, optimisation of client comfort and careful management of skin response.
Because electrolysis works at the level of the follicle, precision is critical. True competency cannot be developed through theory alone; it requires hands-on repetition under experienced supervision.
At TADLI, there is no improvised practice. Training is conducted on real models, in real time, with direct educator guidance. Each treatment performed during training is structured to build technical accuracy, consistency, clinical judgement and confidence. This ensures that practitioners can return to clinic ready to deliver safe, controlled and effective outcomes.
A Skill That Remains in Demand
While laser hair removal has become widely accessible, it does not treat every hair type. Blonde, grey, white and red hairs remain resistant. Hormonal facial hair often requires ongoing management. Small, isolated areas demand precision rather than bulk reduction. Clinics offering both laser and electrolysis provide a complete hair removal pathway particularly for:

Facial hormonal hair
Post-laser refinement
Gender-affirming treatments
Small anatomical areas
Light or non-pigmented hairs
Training That Is Structured, Accessible and Clinically Focused
TADLI’s Beginners Electrolysis Group Training is designed for therapists who want comprehensive, hands-on education in a structured learning environment without the cost of private in-clinic training. This course supports safe, accurate and effective permanent hair removal across facial and body areas.
What Makes This Training Different?
Blended Learning Model
Participants complete pre-recorded online theory prior to attending the practical session. This ensures:
Strong technical understanding before touching a probe
More time focused on application during practical training
A deeper clinical discussion on the day
The theory component is delivered by Joanie Gonella, Certified Professional Electrologist, an internationally respected educator with decades of experience.

Theory modules include:
History of Electrolysis
Systems of the Human Body
Skin & Appendages
Consultation & Ethics
Hygiene & Safety Procedures
Electrolysis Modalities (Thermolysis & Blend)
Probe Selection
Positioning
Performing Electrolysis
Workstation Setup
Business & Marketing Foundations
Small Group, High Supervision
Group numbers are intentionally capped at four participants. Small group delivery creates a safe learning environment where practitioners can refine insertion accuracy, understand tissue response, and adjust technique based on hair depth, density and skin behaviour.
Practical Skill Development
The practical component focuses on developing accurate probe insertion, treating different hair types and anatomical areas, understanding tissue response and client comfort, adjusting parameters appropriately and building ergonomic habits.
Participants train at TADLI’s dedicated East Melbourne facility, a professional education space designed specifically for clinical training. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion recognising their education and supervised practical participation.
Investing in a Skill That Lasts
Electrolysis isn't a trend. It's a permanent solution grounded in anatomical science.
By choosing to specialise in electrolysis and investing in structured training, practitioners develop a technical skill that remains in demand across all client demographics.
At TADLI, our goal is not simply to teach a treatment — it is to build clinicians who understand why they are performing each step, how to adjust safely, and how to integrate electrolysis into a sustainable clinic model.
If you are ready to expand your service offering with a permanent hair removal modality that complements laser and strengthens your clinical credibility, our upcoming Beginners Electrolysis Group Training dates are now available.
Spots are limited to four participants per session.
