Policies: Training Courses

At the Australian Dermal & Laser Institute, we want to ensure a positive experience for all trainees participating in our training courses. The following policies are in place to provide clarity and support throughout the training process and to ensure your success:

  1. Course Confirmation:
    To secure your training date, we require a 20% deposit. Once we receive the deposit, the training dates will be confirmed, and you can start looking forward to an exciting learning journey with us. Full payment is due 7 days prior to your training date. If payment is not received by the due date training may be cancelled and your deposit will not be refundable.

  2. Refund Policy:
    Once your training has been booked and confirmed we require a minimum of 14 days notice. If you need to request a refund within 14 days of the training course, we will issue a credit for the full amount or a refund less a 20% administration fee. The credit note can be used towards future training courses or any other services we offer.
    If you have been given access to theoretical training material, the cost of this will not be eligible for refund. We want to ensure a fair and transparent refund process while considering the preparations made for your training.

  3. Arranging Suitable Models:
    We trust our trainees to arrange suitable models for their training courses. Please coordinate with our training coordinator to ensure the availability of models that align with the specific requirements of your course. We are here to guide you and provide any necessary assistance along the way. By not sourcing appropriate training models, trainees may miss out on valuable learning opportunities. Therefore, we kindly ask trainees to take the responsibility seriously to make the most of their training program. Should suitable models not be available on the day of your training, training may not be able to go ahead, any make up sessions will be charged at the full rate of training.

  4. Device & Consumables:
    Trainees are responsible for ensuring that their devices are in good working  order prior to your training date. If trainees encounter device faults that impede their training progress, it may hinder their ability to complete the required treatments. To avoid any interruptions, trainees are encouraged to prioritise device maintenance and address any issues promptly. You will be provided with a list of consumables and equipment required for your training day that must be provided by you, we are available to assist with sourcing any of these items. Any faults experienced on the day of training may result in training not being completed. 

  5. Training Commitment:
    Trainees are expected to be fully committed to their training, arriving on time, actively engaged throughout the program, and refrain from booking clients on practical training days. Full attendance and active participation are required for the entire training day to receive certificates. This ensures a focused and cohesive training experience, maximising learning opportunities for all participants.

Highly Experienced Trainers: Our training courses are led by our amazing team of highly experienced trainers. They are not only qualified with tertiary education but also have extensive industry experience. Rest assured that they have successfully performed numerous treatments specific to the training courses they conduct. Trainee Support: Our training coordinators and support channels are here to assist trainees whenever they face challenges in sourcing training models or encounter device-related issues. Trainees are encouraged to reach out for guidance and support throughout their training journey.


Open Communication: We value open communication between trainees and training coordinators. If trainees experience any difficulties in finding suitable training models or encounter device malfunctions, we urge them to promptly inform the relevant parties. By communicating effectively, we can work together to find suitable solutions and minimise any disruptions to the training program.
